Although The LEGO Movie has earned high ratings on other sites, I have to throw in a little criticism. Although The LEGO Movie has a strong message about creativity and being special and unique, the commercial exploit of the movie is shocking. Sets marketed at children from the movie are, in reality, structures and vehicles that received under a minute of screen-time. Some sets I have seen sold that are supposedly from The LEGO Movie are near impossible to spot in the film itself. I would not be surprised if these set were entirely unrelated, with "Micromanagers" thrown in to justify marketing these sets. Overall, without the excess commercialism that I must associate with The LEGO Movie, the movies was a pleasant family experience, one that can generate lots of laughter, with cute puns, amusing references, and pleasing characters.
